From Mondays Chicago Tribune: Zenith spices up: One of the bright spots in recent years for the troubled Zenith Electronics Corp., based in Glenview, was landing a contract to supply a million advanced digital set-top boxes to Americast, the TV programming alliance of several phone companies. The good news last week was the launch of wireless digital home entertainment services in New Orleans by BellSouth Corp., which offers Crescent City customers more than 160 channels of video entertainment. It marks the first full-scale deployment of Zenith's digital set-top boxes. Enthused Zenith exec Allen Brown: "This is the hottest thing to hit New Orleans since Cajun cooking."
