Dan, MG stated the following in his note after the COMDEX visit. ROHM confirmed it has shipped its first 100-200 thousand 16 FRAM parts based on Ramtron's technology. An early customer is the Tokyo airport for luggage ID. Does not expect to be on US distribution shelves for another 6 months but is "100%" committed to the part. Aiming at non-commodity applications that require design wins. Indicated it is working on a 1-transistor implementation of the technology (FFRAM or Flash FRAM). Separately, discussions with RMTR make us increasingly optimistic RMTR will soon close additional licensing agreements and that fundamental demand for their FRAM devices has at last begun to build.
