Last Shadow, re EGHT I tend to obsess over about ten stocks at any given time for weeks on end (I'm up all night with nothing much to do when I'm home :) and my ten stocks are made up of dependable quirks and trading ranges. It's what I call painful T/A. (Very inefficient) but the outcome is really 'knowing' a stock. For example, PANL from low 5's to 6, SGIC from 11 or 12 area to 14ish. When one of the 10 violates its range severely I move another into it's position and learn its behaviour. I have found that stocks take on a 'personality' of their own that often violates and defies quick T/A checkups. Of course drastic F/A can throw a wrench into all this, but that is also true of T/A.

CJ.
