I had the same problem. Here is the trick if you use the M.I.E.4.0 browser
I had to reload the browser install over cleansweep, and every thing works fine. Plan on doing this if you install cleansweep on a system thats runs with M.I.E. 4.0 I assume Cleansweep is Cleansweeping over same name files used for both software without warning. As far as I know this will happen with all versions of Cleansweep. Otherwise I like the product and use it. I have dumped tons of software installs with it and it works fine.

Text that came with M.I.E 4.0 that should be read!:
CleanSweep: Critical System Files Replaced
------------------------------------------
If you are already running Internet Explorer 4.0, installing
CleanSweep 3.0 is not recommended. CleanSweep replaces vital
system files and will cause both Internet Explorer and the
Active Desktop not to work properly.
