Funny you should bring this up again. I did pay the plant a visit last week and did indeed find out that "Ladies Cutting Service" a company unrelated to Olympus Mills began its operations there the first week in Sept/1997 after they offered Olympus to pay them $6,000/month for the use of Olympus' machinery and equipment and they would pay an additional $6,300/month to the building's owner for the lease.

I first visited the plant around that time, so it must of been in the transition phase. When I visited I did not interview anyone or the plant foreman, I just walked around and observed, looking for evidence that it is indeed Olympus Mills, which I did find in the boxes and company logos in the office space. In my visit LAST week it was evident that the logos and shipping boxes were not there, so I can only suspect that during the time period I first visited, they were just in the process of moving. In last week's visit Olympus Mills sign are still on the walls and outside the building. I asked why they were still up..they said because their stay there is only temporary. That makes sense to me, because if they were planning on staying there permanantly, they would have painted over all Olympus Mills signs inside and out.

I then called Roland Brenton and asked him his plans for that plant and he said that a soon as they get $10M cash in bank, they will evict "Ladies Cutting Service" and begin full scale manufacture as they can finally order raw materials and honor their backlogged orders. He also stated that when they finalize the Palco acquisition that Hialeah plant will be busier than ever.
