I agree conservatives will need to keep maximum pressure on Romney.

I also think Romney is having a bad effect on his supporters and don't understand why that is.

We've seen the snarky remarks about Newt's and Santorum's Catholicism (amazing coming from supporters of a Mormon). I just had a Romney supporter okay the idea of Romney supporting Obama's federal mandate of free birth control. Romney hasn't even flipflopped on this yet and a Romney supporter is making excuses for him doing it.

One can see how this will work .... Obama supports X, conservatives like Santorum oppose X, media attacks conservative position, and Romney supporters start thinking maybe Romney should switch to the Obama position to disassociate himself from the horrid conservative whackjobs.

It can work with gay marriage, abortion, everything global warming related, anything ... they can just say it's the conservatives fault Romney had to flipflop ... he had to put space between himself and those horrible conservatives ... don't want people thinking Romney is for the Republican War on Women or the Republican War on Science or whatever slogan Obama's handlers have come up with.

Maybe Republicans in blue states have been brainwashed by the media??
