Boliden's offer to buy WMI is highly opportunistic. WMI has assets which should probably attract a price in the $8 to $10 range in better times. Boliden is taking full advantage of the recent price drop in WMI's shares and the low comodity prices to snap up WMI for a song. The market seems to agree with the price running up well above the low-ball offer. As a WMI shareholder, there is no way I would tender to this offer. It sucks. Can't fault Boliden though. It would be quite a coup to steal WMI at $5.40.
