I simply point out that no one worries about these things unless there is a proven risk if malware. By "these things," I mean OSX, iOs, Android, webOs, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, and PalmOS, all of which I have used extensively without antivirus software without repercussions. Will there be someone to intone "serves them right" when the first Windows Phone exploit surfaces? Probably.

Until then, I am not going to be particularly paranoid about it.
