Tango, thanks for the heads up. I think this is signigicant, in that it validates the superiority of the CopperGold product. With Westell on board (to a certain extent), this can only increase the chances of the ANSI standard becoming the defacto standard IMO.
Moreover, as we all know, in this industry time to market is very important. IMO this may force the hand of CS' competitors to move. The quicker they must move, the more likely the chances they will partner. Further, I think the affects this announcement may be having on CS's stock price is interesting. (they did get an upgrade Thursday)
Finally, this URL is in reference to Alcatel. I was told their first generation products were not ANSI compliant by source I believe to be reliable. IMO, this second chip set release is. I think the chances of us seeing more licensees, either direct (or indirect via CopperGold) is increasing. This of course, is not the primary goal but it is a start.
