Brigus Drills High-Grade Gold At Black Fox Complex
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 8:42 AM

Brigus Gold Corp. (NYSE Amex: BRD)(TSX: BRD) says that the company has drilled high-grade gold at the Contact Zone located at the Black Fox Complex within the Timmins mining district in Ontario. The highest grade returned was 26.83 grams per ton gold over 15.50 meters including 36.87 g/t gold over 11.00 meters and 168.88 g/t gold over 1.60 meters, the company says. “Recent drilling has intersected the zone over wider than expected widths in some areas and the drill program continues to successfully convert inferred ounces to indicated ounces,” says Howard Bird, vice president of exploration of Brigus. The company has systematically explored 25% of the property and says significant upside potential remains on the property. Brigus is an American-based gold producer with projects located in Canada, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
