Christianity is a big tent. It's just not Universal. You don't get to make up anything that turns your crank and call it Christianity

No i don't personally but certainly others that called themselves Christians before who tinkered with the rules & story did . They crossed big wide oceans to form new settlements to practice their newest believed rituals & doctrines that would have found them socially cut off & persecuted in their mother country . And this just a casual glance back on recent history , Mormons are no different as a splinter sect grown up today as were some of the doctrinal sects back then who sought freedom & control to employ their beliefs on a new continent .

You're the Christian why do i need to point these obvious facts out to you ? Forget your history ?

Those sects differed in modes of dress codes , speech , ceremonies & laws , then the doctrinal beliefs were quite stringent in some cases , little rules that if broken found you cut off from society, branded for life & heaven above denied forever. You are probably breaking their rules daily & in their eyes would have been a mortal sinner & you jailed , if truth be told ...just in the way you dress & speak now would have been cause for some outrage for those "believers" then .

(let alone you're spending idle hours on the internet!)
