Looks like Avon might under go a give back in premium gained from the rejected Coty bid. On the positive note. Long term, IMO the company is setting the stage for a comeback try. a new Ceo with a Neutrogena parent and pleny of other skin care products under the J&J umbrella. They also recently appointed Fernando Acosta from Unilever to be president of their one gem. The Latin America division. I'm sure Coty will sill be watching from the sidelines. Especially if they go public . There are Unilever ties to Coty as they sold their fragrance line to them. Coty also bought Del Labs. One of the companies I used to own when it traded on the AMEX. That would be a great fit for Avon Reps IMO. FWIW- My daughter thinks Coty's Philosophy line is very good. Avon get a 81/2 for takeover appeal down from 10. Elizabeth Arden on my radar, looks like a good strategic fit for one of the big player in cosmetics and fragrances. I will be looking to see what develops.
