IMO, Elop was the beginning of the end for the Finns and their decision not to go with Android. In fact, if you look at the chart, since the Feb'11 announcement, it is what cost NOK a lot more than the iPhone. After all they don't have access to 70% of the market in China and the rest of the world which is Android. I'm not including the US as they were non-existent in the US before that. But in the rest of the world Nokia used to be a big name. Now they are locked out with a hope and a prayer that Windows Phone catches up. IMO, it was suicidal for them to say no to Android. Compare them to Samsung who have phones in 3 OSs (not 1 like Nokia - not counting Symbian as Nokia has announced the death of it) and unlike Nokia, Samsung is laughing all the way to the bank. With a 3 OS strategy unlike 1...
