Nokia surely has a version of Android running on a Lumia 900 for comparison purposes. There is nothing unique about it's hardware components. Nokia could switch to Android today and they would have lost nothing other than a years worth of sales. Remember when Sony Ericson stated their intention last year to be the biggest Android manufacturer? It didn't work out that way, but there really isn't anything preventing these manufacturers from flipflopping positions on the Android leaderboard on a yearly basis. Nokia could instantly become the 2 biggest Android seller, or they could be the 10th. And that's true every year. On another note, my wife's Nexus S 4G finally received her ICS update yesterday. It really does feel like a new phone. ICS has vastly improved the touch responsiveness over Gingerbread, with only a hint of the lag that I couldn't stand in Gingerbread. I would say that her phone, running iCS, is now almost as smooth as my Windows Phone (Sprint Arrive), which runs on similar hardware. that's saying a lot.
