Thoughts on the CEO (any CEO) ...

<< I'd love to hear your thoughts on Elop... where NOK goes from here? do you think he'll survive?? if the stock price is CEO's report card, Elop has been getting Fs for a while now... >>

In the future I'll continue to express my thoughts on Stephen Elop, should I feel that I have any worth expressing and which I think might be of interest to others, where I have generally expressed them before -- i.e. on the moderated Nokia company board. I'll express any thoughts I care to express about Tim Cook on the Apple board that Allen (Cogito) moderates, thoughts about Larry Page on a Google board, etc. On this board I'll primarily post about smartphone and MID platforms and ecosystems. I'll likely post here primarily (but not exclusively) about Windows Phone and the sunset of Symbian and a smattering of Blackberry, since Apple's iOS, iPhone & iPad, and Google's and OHG's Android are extensively covered elsewhere.

On Elop: I don't expect any near term departure and I'll be listening carefully to what he and Timo have to say on the earnings CC next week. As for CEO's report cards: the stock price is only one line item and that is particularly true for a company in transition.
