I knew I would get a lot of negative comment about my response. That's fine. What I am saying is that name calling gets you nowhere in politics, especially if you are on the right. You want to indulge in it to vent your feelings, fine. If you are a Pol trying to influence people, it's a waste of time and marginalizes you.

Do you all realize how much name calling has increased on this thread this year? I wince as I skim though and read it. What happens in a group like ours is that we get desensitized to the positions we are taking and get further and further to the Right. The "pile on" here is something to read, if you were an outsider looking in. It has gotten to the point that we seem to be trying to see how much nastier we can get than the next person.

I wish we could all back off a little and see what we sound like.
