I hope everything works out, in particular that L and Tesco don't bomb. I think you are right about quality at the moment. In the energy sector lots of the good cos are cheap, so it shouldn't be hard to pick some that aren't in big trouble. Isn't CNQ's p/e about 12 (even PWE,not as high quality but much higher than it used to be since they are going all out light oil, p!e 12 div 6%), Tot, Statoil, there is this guy who always bangs the drum for Petrobakken, don't know it, SD (don't really know it either) Black Pearl (ditto) but lots like them. ANR looks ok for the long run, BUT safer, ARLP shot back up, I missed it when it was just over $50.

It feels like Europe will be getting back in the news.

I notice that Imp is very resilient, I think there is strong interest for the stock. Maybe it is high quality! At 1.2 billion is it still cheap? Could be.
