I don't think Zimmerman will be convicted.
Legal experts say second-degree murder charge may be hard to prove in Trayvon Martin case
 As I said yesterday when I first heard that George Zimmerman was going to be charged, I'm trying hard to keep an open mind and I'm anxious to hear the evidence that the prosecutor has to prove second-degree murder.
Now, legal experts are essentially saying the same thing: Legal experts said the circumstances of the shooting suggest that prosecutors will have a hard time proving that Zimmerman was acting with a "depraved mind" when he pulled the trigger -- the standard for second-degree murder.
"Based on the available facts, it's a huge overreach," said Miami defense attorney John Priovolos, a former prosecutor, who said Corey will be hard pressed to show Zimmerman had "ill-will, spite, malice or hatred" needed to prove a "depraved mind."
Former Miami-Dade senior prosecutor David Waksman cautioned that the public must wait for all the evidence to be unveiled, but acknowledged that "this is not going to be an easy case."
I'm not going to apologize for feeling that the prosecutor's decision to charge Zimmerman with second-degree murder had more to do with politics and catering to race baiters like Sharpton, Holder, Obama, Jessie Jackson and the New Black Panthers than it did with the facts in the case and justice, and more to do with emotion than logic and reason. This feeling was bolstered by the fact that the first words out of the prosecutor's mouth at her press conference were that she had called Trayvon's parents and that it was the search for 'justice for Trayvon' that brought her to this moment (see first 30 seconds of video below):

The more I think about this .... the wounds on the back of Zimmerman's head - which we know were there, which I'm sure photos of will be presented to the jury - will mean that Zimmerman will NOT be convicted. That's hard evidence of a self-defense claim. The witness testimony that Martin was on top of Zimmerman will cement it. The fact that the fight went on for a minute or two before the shooting occured - we all heard the 911 call of shouting and screaming before the gunshot - will be icing on the cake. Zimmerman will walk. That's my prediction.
