*** ON TOPIC!!! *** (Believe it or not)

I had a few 'spies' of mine down in Convex last week. I got the
full story from these guys today..

"Clik!" was a BIG hit. It is basically a shrink in technology from
the ZIP. This is great news, as it means it actually has a good
chance of shipping sooner than later. The technology is slick, and
very integrated.

The 40Mbyte was chosen because 36 hi-res pictures can fit on a single
disk. (also, so that the disk wouldn't cannibalize ZIP, I'm sure).
I believe the 40Mbyte could be doubled or tripled if necessary.

Also, my 'spies' inferred that several companies were lined up with
Iomega on this one..

The general use of this device is as a replacement for film. The user
would turn-in the filled disk to a 'film' processing shop, then get
prints made from the disk. The shop would return the disk to the
user. The user also gets the added benefit of storage of 'negatives'
on these disks (tie ratio possibilities?) or the ability to fool with
the pictures on a home PC.

They were also excited about the other possibilities for this device..

About Syquest... Well, lets just say that us Iomega shareholders have
nothing to worry about.

Sorry for interrupting this thread with real company info!
you may go back to the bickering...

Good luck!
