First of all, no one "buys" iCloud email, because it's free. But so is Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo Mail, which have far bigger usershare, even among iPhone users, I would guess.

Tim Cook last month announced 100 million iCloud users, but who knows how many of them have iCloud email.
