I think that's an accurate idea of libertarian ideas.

As I indicated I don't support totally unrestricted liberty. That is, I cannot ascribe to purely libertarian views anymore than I can purely R or D.

You have to have reasonable constraints and there are always tradeoffs between liberty and those constraints. While you should, IMO, be able to order a prostitute in Vegas, have used a bit Cocaine in my younger days I believe unrestricted availability (even to solely adults) is not good public policy. OTOH, putting people in jail for using cocaine isn't either. The "right" outcome is, IMO, somewhere in between.

No person should be serving jail time for USING any drug IMO. Period. A person has a fundamental right to use drugs if they choose to do so. And yes, there are some who will allow it to interfere with their lives just as some people cannot ride motorcycles responsibly or eat responsibly.

You really have to comprehend the damage that has been done by this drug war, and I don't think you do.
