Just to be clear, your reposted argument is against the affidavit, not Zimmerman's possible guilt. YOUR LINK, which is interesting, says:
"None of this is to say I think George Zimmerman is innocent of any crime for the incident that led to Trayvon Martin’s death, nor is it to say that the state may not possess sufficient evidence to convict Zimmerman of some crime at a trial. In fact, I am highly disturbed by Zimmerman’s behavior and Martin’s death."
Again, the question is not for the jury of public opinion, it is going to be in the courtroom now, unless Zimmerman accepts some sort of plea bargain.
The case that prosecutors can get things wrong is certainly true, just look at all the convictions of criminals later found innocent or overturned on appeals. It is curious to hear, that right wing conservatives question the prosecution of an alleged criminal, at least in this case coincidently a white armed vigilante killing a hooded black teenager.
The Martin family did not demand conviction and punishment for Zimmerman, but rather that he be charged and tried. There is a difference, you know. Now the wheel has turned and so have you. |
