Provenge was well conceived and completely missed its mark. And Yervoy is a cancer vaccine???

Every new generation of cancer immunologist has nowhere to go, as the previous generation's bull is what determines funding. The system encourages one to wear blinders, so that you have a blind-alley stampede.

Meanwhile, in the realm of molecular genetics? Major advances are being made, some of which actually lead to prolonged survival and an (albeit temporary) enhanced quality of life. I have high regard for Dr. Lattime, but I also feel that cancer immunology is all about twenty years of dead horse flogging.
