Spectran is not a viable comparison. They manufacture the bare fiber that other companies including OCCF use to make their cables. They did purchase a cable company called APD that manufactures really low grade fiber cable"crappy stuff!!"
Spectran did however get a large order for multi mode fiber from Corning earlier this year. Indicating that Corning is starting to outsource some of their fiber production.
