That was a completely assholic response, mate
Yes, it was. And you got to admit that yours is a completely assholic post also (and those discussion posts follow). I had two kids myself and they are 23 and 25 now. I know how hard it is to try to guide them to stay away from games and other distraction and focus their time on something meaningful. I truly don't understand why you want to post the issue on a public forum and then tried to blame Apple and the app for your kid's problem.

This is a stock forum for Apple stock. One of the most famous and iconic Apple commercial is the one that they make IBM to be the big brother and dictate what everyone should do. And what you guys advocate about Apple "do something" about in-app purchase is exactly what Apple try to portrait IBM did twenty, thirty years ago. Do you truly believe Apple can be successful as a company if they try to dictate the way their software partner monetize their creation? Over the weekend, I talked to a facebook game developer friend. His company has in-app purchase and he got to see the day to day usage vs purchase. He found that only between 1 to 2% of active user will do any in-app purchase at all. But those 1-2% spent an average of $200 or so within a month. For his company those in-app purchase paid for all other who play their game for free. If they don't do in-app purchase, they will have to charge everyone a fee to play their game and he is not certain if their game will be as successful or not. If we stop to think about it, it is no different than someone send us a coupon for free stuff to try it out and later charge us full price if we like it. How is it different than in-app purchase? Why should Apple "do something" about in-app purchase and change the payment structure so that 98% of the gamer who pay for free now has to pony up money for the 1-2% of folks who cannot control their impulse buying? And why should Apple store reverse your charge because your kid know enough to stole your password? I still don't understand your rational of Apple did something wrong here...
