Zip Connector Solution
Thanks to all here who helped on the Jaz Jet to Zip Plus connector question!
After getting a few wrong items, I called Iomega tech support. Although they were pretty clueless on the whole thing, they did refer me to a cable company which actually did have the connector I was looking for.
This is one hard connector to find, and a lot of the problem is that neither Iomega nor the place that does mail order through 1-800-my-stuff (PC Connection) has it! To anyone else who needs one, the connector is made by QVS and it's model number CC534F.
I ordered it through Cables Direct.
Hopefully Iomega will figure out this problem and support this combination by carrying that adapter soon.
PC Connection was very good, letting me return the two items I ordered which they got wrong and giving me back the shipping and the return shipping.
Insight, however, where I ordered the first connector over the net, was really quite bad. I ordered a Zip 25 to 50 pin SCSI connector, and being unfamiliar with SCSI cabling I thought this would work since it was in the Iomega section after all. Wrong! Nowhere on the web site does it say that it is a low density 50 pin connector instead of a high density connector, so how does Insight expect customers to get the right thing? Anyway, despite a long talk with them, they refuse to return my $8 shipping/handling (an outrageous amount) nor my $5 return shipping nor a 15% restocking fee! What losers!
Do not order from Insight!
