Ah, ok, I did not know that. The Senator did note before he started that he understood the witness was going to invoke the 5th and the witness affirmed that.

Still it seems silly to this layman that he couldn't answer the question.

Maybe the Senator was forcing him to invoke to get THAT on the record.

I hope the jack asses fear of self incrimination is justified and he ends up in jail.
