The exercise of an incentive stock option is not a taxable event

ISO exercise is an AMT preference item. If you're exercising large amounts of stock (for example, 60,000 shares at $12/share), this would be a taxable event due to AMT. I think it is possible that King exercised 100K of his options, and only sold 60K, as Calculated Risk admits that the SEC filings do not differentiate between options held and stock held. Does the filing contain before and after numbers for both options and shares held? If so, what are the totals? Perhaps SMKCPA was in fact correct with his information.
