I am not sure whether the person who responded to your message was BB or BB Jr; I suspect the latter. First of all I think it is disingenous of him to be writing responses on this thread using his fathers name without suffix (jr). I note the signature at the end of the response was BB.

Also, as for COBOL I cannot believe any company is actively developing software in COBOL. I suspect most of the software people working in COBOL do nothing more than to correct the Y2K problems in legacy systems. In my opinion the year 2K problem is vasly overstated; it is technical hysteria.
