If Michele Bachmann and other "conservatives" were truly conservative, then they would have supported President Obama's initiative to raise the fuel economy standards for vehicles sold in the U.S. Why aren't they into CONSERVing energy? U.S. gasoline consumption has dropped every year since 2009, despite a slowly growing economy. People are trading in low fuel mileage vehicles for higher fuel mileage vehicles. This is also getting people interested in buying new cars, since the fuel economy savings help pay for the car.
