The SEC is prosecuting more pump and dump schemes now than in the past, which should provide all investors some degree of comfort. Our markets should not be infested with such criminals. Here is one such prosecution announced today. Message 28094653 It will be interesting to see what types of steps the SEC takes against pump and dump schemes perpetrated against the public on stock message boards. Technology seems to be moving faster than enforcement, but enforcement eventually catches up. I for one welcome an increase in honesty and enforcement. Those who pump and dump do not.
