I think Zimmerman did himself a lot of good today. The State made a mistake by making him show up chained. Built sympathy. The Defense floored the State by having him take the stand and apologize to the family. They blew the opportunity to go after him. The angry parents with Lawyers were not a good move either. They wanted him held in jail, and having the opportunity of getting out on bail really frosted them.

All in all, a good start for the defense. ABC's release of the head wounds helped.
