Howard, there are plenty of well informed, independent minded posters on that other board who are not stuck in a pumper or basher mode and the few raucous voices you mention are easily given the iggy finger by those independents who find them intolerable. I learned the joys of "ignore" only two years ago. The relatively few independent voices that I saw here when I first bought the stock a year ago have been gone or gone quiet for months. If I put the cheerleaders and NTTG on ignore (I can read New on Yahoo if I wanted to see his unadulterated feelings expressed) there would be hardly anybody left who posts with any frequency. Anything less than full-throated bullishness is not tolerated here. I know that from personal experience here. Jack's post was very revealing to me. I was saddened by it but to me it simply reflects what he understands the function of this board to be and I'm grateful for his honesty.

I stand by my "waste of a message board" comment.

And, by the way, I do read this board fairly regularly, gnash my teeth at the inane cheerleading and every rare once-in-a-while find a worthwhile nugget of information/opinion that enlightens me. Needless to say, I've respected and admired you and your postings for some years and would only wish that you posted your opinions (as opposed to factual "finds") much more frequently as you have done for years on that other board.

Thanks for giving me the incentive to make the speech that I've thought about posting ever since I stopped participating on this board.
