The following charts provide a somewhat different perspective which seems to be confirming the downside bias. The data is an index of stocks which were originally derived from the Vector Vest list of about 8000 stock tickers a couple years ago. This stock index list was sorted from that based on issues having a daily 3 month average volume of 500000. The price chart plots this index against the 50 day moving average whose breaks seem to coincide with VV's buy/signals (and yours too) fairly well. The index broke the moving average several days ago and has been hanging just below it for the past few days. Similar to your system all it would take to turn bullish is a strong rally day. Doesn't look like that is going to happen today ... but this is a manipulated market ... and it is Fed week.

The second chart is a point and figure chart of the same data set. Pretty much says the same thing ....

Would be interesting to set up a M,T,W,Th,Fri index of weeks where Fed has their meetings. Might they be planning to goose things up later in the week ? You know, after most have placed their bearish bets ...
