Vetting Obama's storm troopers. The Associated Press is in the tank for him and willing to lie for him:

AP: Romney Hates Poor and Disabled, Loves Guns

The Associated Press is on the Obama bandwagon.

The Associated Press’s Andrew Taylor “reports” today that “Reducing government deficits Mitt Romney’s way would mean less money for health care for the poor and disabled and big cuts to nuts-and-bolts functions such as food inspection, border security and education. Romney also promises budget increases for the Pentagon …”

According to Taylor, Obama’s budget “generally avoids risks, with minimal cuts to rapidly growing health care programs such as Medicare and Medicaid while socking wealthier people with tax increases. It’s all part of an effort to close trillion-dollar-plus deficits.”

Team Romney, by contrast, “proposes broad cuts in government spending, possibly overpromising on reductions that even a Congress stuffed with conservatives might find hard to deliver.” Hilariously, Taylor fails to report that Obama’s budget has been voted down unanimously whenever brought to a vote, and that with a Democratic Senate, no budget has been passed for nearly three years.

Romney, of course, has proposed dealing with our overspending problem. Obama has not – he’s been far more focused on ratcheting up spending dramatically and then playing the class warfare card. As it turns out, Obama’s tax increases wouldn’t come close to paying for his spending. But you never find that out from the AP. You also never find out that Medicare is slated for $500 billion worth of cuts under Obama’s plan.

The headline of this ridiculous piece? “Romney on spending: Guns triumph over butter.” Yes, Romney’s a military-industrial complex lackey, while Obama just cares about the poor folks! This isn’t analysis. This is shilling. And it certainly isn’t journalism.
