Kenneth, received the following email from one of my friends. Found it interesting and then I responded to the friend. Perhaps you can use your knowledge to see if my logic is correct.

See the following.

Larry, the Podcast's emphasis is what the book by Tom Friedman, "That Used to be us . . ." has stressed. If the podcast is correct then, the States rejected federal money, took the lower bid and one which would enable the project to be completed on time. Additionally, they indicated that the US could not provide the appropriate skill set number of welders. Globalization, Information Technology, debt, education, infrastructure, energy are tremendous issues stressed in Friedman's book.

It appeared to me that this comes down to a State rights issue vs Federal rights. The question, why wasn't the Federal Commerce clause enforced since the goods and service have to be transported across state lines.

But, then, again we currently are having the discussion what powers under the US Constitution does the Federal government have over State rights. The US Supreme Court is discussing this power, "the powers that the Federal government using the Commerce Clause has over requiring States, corporations and individuals to be covered by the clause." We can not have it both ways - does the Fed have jurisdiction over goods and services being transported over State boundaries or not.

IMO, it will be interesting what will happen if the Supreme Court strikes down the healthcare bill, and how it will weaken the power of the Federal Government to enforce other Court case laws decisions, past practices, and future decisions.

I always try to consider, the "law of un-intended consequences," and try to anticipate what the consequences will be based on the actions I take. I see the podcast reflecting such a position.

Subject: Shocking News from ABCs Diane Sawyer

Very interesting.

SHOCKING ABC News on Obama/USA Infrastructure

Diane Sawyer reporting on U.S. bridge projects going to the Chinese.... NOT Americans.

The bridges are right here in the U.S. and yet Obama has approved for Chinese contractors to come

In and do the work. What about jobs for Americans???

Watch this video. It doesn't take long to view.

This one should be tough for the supporters of the current regime to swallow....

AND it comes from ABC NEWS... no to check Snopes or Wikileaks on this one !!!

U.S.A. Bridges and Roads Being Built by Chinese Firms

Shocking to say the least! This video is a jaw-dropper that will make you sick. (It was also shocking that ABC was actually reporting this story.)

The lead-in with Obama promising jobs in the U.S. by improving our infrastructure is so typical of all his promises!

Our tax dollars are at work - for CHINA!!!

I pray all the unemployed see this and cast their votes accordingly in 2012!
