Very interesting article contained in your post. At the end of the day we are who we are shaped by our experiences and genes. For me, I don't think American Christianity can be pigeoned holed and so I react contrarily to anyone who tries to do so--pigeon hole it. Hence my opposing viewpoints for those who would paint a picture of it that I view as containing only one side of the equation. Not to say that some of your observations are not accurate--they are. Will try to move forward from here keeping in mind that you've "had a taste" of the subject.
