Charger, So glad to meet old friends here actually, this is a bit of a lonely site! I believe you have an email coming. As to the points on silver, yes I am rather sure of silver's potential for the next 12 months or so. As for the medical aspects of silver, I was aware the Japanese were making some of their steering wheels available with an anti-bacterial coating. I do not believe it is absorbed through the skin but silver has anti bacterial properties. Some people are taking silver in collodial solutions and it may work but I have heard that some people have terrible reactions to it with permanent damage. I feel perfectly safe with the company of Lady Liberty, Ben Franklin and even mercury in the form of dimes, however<g> The only threat to silver is digital cameras and that is still off 12-18 months. Also the recent drop in copper prices has a bullish effect on silver as copper mines tend to produce a lot of silver also (and vice versa re Bema etc.) As for the POG, these bearish tales I have been hearing since late spring and unfortunately their effect has proven accurate even if their substance is suspect. Some shorts I talk with are getting ready to turn long, of course, FWIW. If the paradigm the gentleman is talking about is the Central banks are going to supply the worlds gold instead of the mines, which is what the scenario you have mentioned amounts to, I would begin to suspect it is so but for the currency problems that are beginning to encircle the globe. Also, this could result in devaluations spreading which could cause deflation here. Actually gold does even better in deflation than inflation, though there may be more of a lag in that performance as it is more of a reactive than a proactive type of price action. Re asia now, your currency falters, drops in value, your gold stays the same or better. Hope this helps?
