>I've stared at all that asc, des, etc., and make neither hide nor hair of it -- I don't even live in Chicago. Why not use the horoscope of the Dow Jones using Wall Street as a location??? Damned if I can figure it out.<<

Because even thought the stocks are traded on Wall Street the S&P is traded in Chicago on the Merc. You have to take into consideration what is influencing the emotions of the people in the actual location of the people making that particular market.

NY provides the numerical data for interpretation but what influences how that data will be interpreted is a direct relation to the area those people are located at (Chicago), not where the data for interpretation is being relayed from (NY).

The space and time continuum for Chicago skews the emotional scales as per how the NY data will be interpreted by those individuals actually trading the S&P's in the location Chicago.

I gave you Chicago because you need to calculate Chicago if the being generated is originating from Chicago.

I find most Gann people trade bonds or grains. I use it for trading the S&P's myself( Chicago based) but it also seems most Gann people I know find it most useful trading bonds for some strange reason.

Thus...for all you Bond, cattle, and S&P people out there... I related my work Eastern time but based for the influences for area Chicago. If your trading gold you would use NY.

Ted,

I will give you some key turning points. The time zones I gave you were for trading turns intra-day for the S&P those days and it was a description of what the most notable astrological keys where and how they where interacting with each other during those time periods.

By the way... give yourself a gold star for figuring out the essence of the code I sent with the time intraday time periods. . You had the keys and planets right for the most part. How these correlation's actually influence is the art of it. This is where the Gann technical aspects gathered threw your angles drawn on your daily charts as it where will tip the hand as per what astrological influences can be expected if any..

It sounds like mumbo jumbo and I can't disagree. You need to see it with a vbery open mind.

When you see a major change in the astrological makeup taking place and the same time your Gann work is looking for a turn and at the same time it's pointinf torward say the 55th day ( the most bearish Fibbonacci number in the sequence)it gives you a pretty good indication that a turn of major consequence may be at hand that could cause the markets to take a drastic fall..

When you have several indicators all hit at the area( space) and it corresponds during the same (time) period then it becomes a viable means of eliminating the less influential or false signals in between.
Thus it assists me in debuking the old saying that... if you draw enough lines on a chart it will always hit something..

My work eliminated the lines that are of no consequesnce and only focuses on the key points of coincidence.
I want to see 4 or 5 indicators all hit at the same space and time.

Enough for now...

Let me make something real clear.
I'm no crystal ball reader.
I'm actually one of the biggest technical cynics there is.
I'm ba hum bug when it comes to people who claim to be technical traders and make all kinds of dough trading by some mystery method.

It has advantages but is no holy grail silver bullet in its present form.
I believe it may exist but have not found it. that said... I'm a hypocrite in the sense that I say its junk , it does not exist, its like chasing a shadow yet.... I still keep trying:-)

I love a good quest!

I will try to considate the key points for daily activity and see if it corresponds wih any key turning days your looking for in your Gann work if and when I can.

I'll try... Just got back and have a stack of mail on my desk 4' high.
I have a business to run but enjoy reading everyones posts.
I learn quite a bit reading everyones idea's and theories.
You all do a great job!
