I'm pleasantly surprised by Sotomayor. She's asking very pointed questions.

Sotomayor, Roberts and Alito all expressed confusion at the government's position that federal statute specifically requires the DHS to respond to state requests for immigration status, but the government's position seems to be that the states can't ask.

They might just uphold AZ's statute.
