I've been told this new camera is a big deal for videographers (esp. as it will take all the Canon lenses).
It's a HUGE deal. All the vid geek wires are atwitter with Blackmagic talk.

Downsides:

Flicker mush when gently touched, while on a tripod, locked down. Issue noted and being investigated by papa.

Lots of people hate the ergonomics. They neglect to notice there are a gazillion ways to strap that toy to just about anything that feels right in the hand.

Can't WAIT for ours to arrive. Between my gal and I, we pretty much own the Canon lens shop. I'll be so much fun to stick all that lovely glass on this new toy, and let it all rip.

I do have hope that stills from that stream could be usable. Shall see...
