PIR had many issues. Their prices were too high and they were a high cost operator. They tried to copy West Elm and Crate and Barrel. Management was out of touch. The buyers got lazy and lacked imagination. To this day, they still suffer from stores that are too small and a low $ per square foot of inventory and sales.
