i can't remember a single period in my lifetime when 'foreign policy' wasn't being touted as the end of the world as we know it if we didn't forever 'keep in front of' the actions of foreign countries....how long did we do all that, then

9/11

my point is the doctrine of pre-emptive action is a failure....it's like 'whack a mole' and they keep popping up somewhere else....we need to quit spending and sending our young people and U$D to worthless countries like afghanistan, using the al sharpton and jesse jackson 'shake down' approach to the u.s. taxpayer...we'll never get these people to embrace western values, meanwhile we are destroying OUR values (liberty) because we are 'afraid' of 'them'

enough already, take care of business at home....

U.S. foreign policy is very similar to all of the entitlement programs. It's all done with the best of intentions, but there are those unintended consequences and then the simple fact that they don't work. Government programs that are about "good intentions, whether foreign policy or domestic, are the problem, not the solution. (I think this means that we are in violent agreement).
