"Freedom, I don't have a mental illness, you have an addiction to logical fallacy - in this case, ad hominem.
You say you fight for freedom and then embrace prejudice in your ignorance with no respect for people with a different skin color who express their FREEDOM to dress differently than other people expect them to dress."

I believe everyone has the right to dress anyway they they fit and I should have the freedom to make judgements about them and avoid them based on the statistics for that behavior. That makes me the opposite of ignorant. I am embracing statistical facts.

Ignorance is assuming that all races, religions, etc.. are equally likely to fly a plane into a building.

Ignorance is assuming that all ethnic backgrounds in Arizona are equally likely to be illegal aliens.

Ignorance is assuming that a middle aged guy dressed in a suit that I already know is equally likely to rob me as a blinged out teenager with his pants half way down his ass that I never saw in my neighborhood that is checking people out in suspicious manner.

"Unlike you, I want actual EVIDENCE someone is a bad person before I treat them like they are a criminal."

Until you actually get to know a person, you have no way of knowing whether they are someone you would like to be associated with or a criminal. So you are forced to either make superficial judgements about them based on the statistics for age, dress, behavior, location, race, religion or ignore those things.

The people (or societies) that choose to ignore statistics because of their idealism about the way the world "should be" wind up being the victim of a crime or worse way more often. It's that simple.

IMO, increasing the probability that you will be the victim of a crime (or worse) because of idealistic notions of the way the world should be IS A MENTAL ILLNESS.

I want a day when the stats are irrelevant because the behavior is equal. I don't want to pretend the stats are equal.
