The company is called Nutiva, and they have the best prices I've found (so far.) And as you can see from my post, and although Coconut oil is not cheap, the health benefits are incredible. Only buy Organic Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. That is the best product and is pretty much guaranteed to be pest and pesticide free. I have never seen Coconut Oil at Costco, but you can find it at Fred Meyer. I don't buy it there because of their mark up and over all ridiculous price. Nutiva has a free shipping with orders over $30 offer going on right now. They're out of the 1 gal size............which sold at a substantially reduced cost, but you may want to buy it in a smaller quantity and try it out first. I'm not sure if LB has any info on Coconut Oil on his health thread, but you could do a search and see if you can find anything there. I have one friend who suffered a heart attack in 2004 and he swears by it. So does my raw vegan dil. We haven't been using it that long, but we have grown to love it. By all accts and according to people I talk to that use it, they feel the same. It is not only good to eat, but it's great on skin. Makes it so soft.
