Greg,

For the gap exploration filter make sure you have:

(colA=1 OR colB=1) AND colC=1 AND colD=1

I seem to recall that colA was siting up gaps, colB was down gaps. colC and colD were for volume and price conditions respectively. Metastock prioritizes the logical function "OR" over "AND". So without parentheses around the two OR conditions it will read it as "A" (alone) or (otherwise) B and C and D (together). Maybe colA was down gaps judging by your results and/or possibly you're missing the grouping parentheses. Why not paste what you have here and maybe I'll snap to it quicker.

Still digesting the "island reversal" setup you mentioned (if someone doesn't beat me to the punch first).

To me, paying Equis to compose a formula is like blindly handing your portfolio over to Charles Schwab or EF Hutton for institutional mass-management. If we can't work with the great resources available to us we should call it quits and wait for the monthly brokerage statement to read the results after the fact.
