I keep reading these articles where people say that everyone will choose Windows 8 tablets because they will want to stay with what's familiar to them.

There's only one problem with that idea. Windows 8 is not familiar to computer users. It's a whole new look. If people were already all running Windows 8, then choosing a Windows 8 tablet would make sense to them. But what more people are familiar with, especially in mobile devices and tablets, is iOS, or the iOS lookalike Android.
