My iPod Shuffle example was only to answer Annie's contention that Apple doesn't dumb down anything they make, when the evidence is that they will if the market is there and they can make a profit on it.
My response to that is that the Shuffle wasn't a dumbed down iPod. It was a brilliant effort at miniaturization, and paring down the interface to be as simple as possible, for use while exercising.

But I do tend to take the optimistic view. I'll admit that.
