First off, you need to understand something. The Seals had been planning this mission for months.

There is only so long that any kind of secret like this can be kept so Obama was in a situation where if he didn't approve the raid, he was going to face a leak that would put him in a position of "You had your chance to take down Usama Bin Ladin and you "Blinked""..

Obama had no choice. And he made the correct decision, albeit a risky one..

Welcome to the position of "Commander in Chief"..

But one has to contrast this to Obama's opposition to the surge in Iraq. I was there at that time and I recall all the politicking by the Democrats to not do a surge and even to just get out of Iraq.

The enemy we were fighting was basically the same.. Islamic militants who paid bayat to Al Qaida.

Bottom line, Presidents have to make tough decisions. It comes with the territory..

Just wish Obama could make the same kinds of tough decisions when it comes to pressing charges against the Financial Crooks in the TBTF banks, as well as the hoards of undocumented workers that have come across the US border.

But no.. he just orders Federal investigations into supposedly "White on Black" hate crimes, while ignoring the Black on White crimes that have occurred recently.

That displays cowardice on his part, IMO.
