Jailbroken iPads get windowed app management courtesy of QuasarBy

The iPad may be at the vanguard of Apple's "post PC" revolution, but if you're feeling a little reluctant to leave the old ways behind then Pedro Franceschi may have just the trick. His Quasar tweak brings window-style app management to the iPad, allowing you to view multiple apps at the same time by resizing, going in and out of fullscreen, switching orientation, and rearranging them on your desktop at will. From the video below it seems to work pretty well, and should appeal to those tired of double-tapping the home button.

It looks especially useful for iPhone-only apps such as Instagram, which can be used at their intended size without wasting the rest of the screen space. The predictable catch is that it's only available for jailbroken iPads — you can get it now from the Cydia Store for $9.99, and it's not going to make the wait for an untethered iOS 5.1 jailbreak any easier.
